PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how Oy MaWe Trading Ab (“Mawe”, “we”) processes personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Last updated: 30 October 2026.

2. What we collect and why

Contact form and email: name, email, phone number, country and your message. We use these to reply to you and handle your enquiry. Legal basis: steps before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Required fields are marked; without them we cannot reply.
Customers and suppliers: names and work contact details of contact persons, plus order, delivery and invoicing details. We use these to manage orders and our business relationship. Legal basis: contract and legal obligations such as accounting (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
Website visits: technical data such as IP address, browser and pages visited, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site securely and to produce anonymous visitor statistics. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or marketing. Visitor statistics are collected without cookies and without identifying you. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

4. Who receives your data

We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf: Framer B.V. (website hosting and forms) and Google (email), as well as our accounting and logistics partners when needed for orders. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep data

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and are deleted within 24 months of our last contact unless they lead to a customer relationship. Customer data is kept for the duration of the relationship, and accounting records for the period required by Finnish accounting law.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. To use your rights, contact us at sales@mawetrading.com. We will reply within one month.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
